Welcome to life Mckinley Lux Winsor

This time labor and delivery was fairly boring (which is perfectly ok with us). We checked into the hospital around 2:00 pm on Monday and they gave Lindsay some pill that sounded like side kick that was supposed to help her thin. We watched movies, hung out, and fell asleep until 5 the next morning where they started her on Pitocin. she got an epidural when her discomfort level was at about a 5 which was around 9:00 a.m. We then watched a couple of more movies and slept until about 3:00. Lindsay said the pain was worse and she was ready to push. Her body was finally ready, the Dr. made it into the room and about 4 or 5 pushes later she delivered. Mckinley weighed in at 7 lbs 7 oz and 19 1/2 inches long the same length as Allie and her weight was in the middle of them them also. She has long dark hair. You can see from the pictures.

We are so grateful for Lindsay's mom and Sister to come visit and help, since leaving to the hospital we haven't had to worry about a thing. It has been so nice. They brought Allie and Payton to see the baby and Allie was so excited for Mckinley to hold on to her finger. Payton showed more interest than we thought he would but nothing to really report on.

Alabama law says we need to stay in the hospital for at least 48 hours after the baby is born. We would have been gone yesterday for sure if it were not so. We have had a couple of visits from Sue, Cindy, and the kids and we are just watching the clock until we can go home.

While Payton was here he loved to play in the closet in our room, he likes to go in there and shut the door and laugh. He finally got me in there, then he left me and closed the door and stood in front of it so I couldn't get out. Allie smiled her way into getting a folder full of stickers, coloring pages, and crayons. She also ate most of Lindsay's desserts while here.

Thanks to all who have supported us and showed interest. We are so excited to have Mckinley at our house and in our family. I can't wait to see what she will look like in 3 months, maybe then I will be able to tell a difference what she looks like as a baby and how she will start to look as she grows up.
